AVI-CI03. City Tour and Beach
Starting from the lodging place, we will go around the capital city. We will see the main avenues, monuments and buildings in the city.
The Map in High Relief, located in a military base, exhibits the territory of El Salvador, the geographic characteristics of the country.
We will go to the historical center, and we visit the metropolitan cathedral constructed in 1905, in the basement of the cathedral the remains of Monsignor Romero are buried. In front of the church, the Plaza Gerardo Barrios will be a good place to appreciate the facade of the cathedral and the national palace.

A visit at the Museum of the Word and the Image will provide something of the history of the recent civil war in our country, which finished in 1992 when the Peace Accords were signed. We will finish the route in the Gallery of Arts and store El Arbol de Dios (the Tree of God) to see the work of the Salvadoran artist Fernando Llort.

When we finish tour of the city, we travel to the Pacific Ocean, a short ride, we have lunch and we enjoy the lukewarm water of the sea. We return to San Salvador immediately after sun set.


AVI-CI03. TOUR DE CIUDAD Y TARDE DE PLAYA
Partiendo del lugar de alojamiento, visitaremos los monumentos y los edificios principales en la ciudad. El Mapa de El Salvador en Alto Relieve, que demuestra las características geográficas del país.
Luego iremos hacia el centro histórico, visitando la catedral metropolitana.

La Plaza Gerardo Barrios será un buen lugar para apreciar la fachada de la catedral y del palacio nacional.

Visitaremos el Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen para conocer de la historia de la guerra civil reciente en nuestro país, que terminó en 1992 al firmar los Acuerdos de paz. Acabaremos la ruta en la Galería de Artes y tienda El Árbol de Dios, para conocer el trabajo del artista salvadoreño Fernando Llort.

Cuando terminemos el tour de la ciudad, conduciremos hacia el Océano Pacífico, un breve recorrido, almorzaremos y gozaremos del agua tibia del mar. A la puesta del sol, regresaremos a San Salvador.
